The Shell Centenary Scholarship Fund has been established for the advancement of education by the provision of scholarships at universities in the United Kingdom for post-graduate students, particularly citizens of countries other than the United Kingdom. We respect the privacy of everyone who visits this site. Please read our Privacy Policy carefully so that you can understand how we collect and use the personal information which you provide to us.

By submitting your personal data to us, you will be treated as having given your permission for disclosures referred to in this policy.

What does this privacy policy cover?

This privacy policy covers our use of your personal information which is collected through or in connection with this site. For the purposes of this policy, this site means the www.shellscholar.org web site.

Other Shell web sites may contain privacy policies which are different from this privacy policy. This privacy policy relates to the www.shellscholar.org web site. Who is responsible for the personal information collected on this site?

Shell International Limited and The Shell Centenary Scholarship Fund (a charity with registered number 1071178) both of Shell Centre, London SE1 7NA control the personal data collected on this site.

  • respond to queries or requests submitted by you;
  • post such information on the site in relation to:
    • a message sent by you to be posted on the Message Board (e.g. attributing to you any communication that you have submitted to us, although we are not obliged to do this); and
    • the Alumni listings on the web site (your photo, name, scholarship year, degree course and home country only);
  • provide you with updates and general information on the site and the Shell Centenary Scholarship Fund and Foundation as well as Shell activities which are likely to be of particular interest to Shell scholars, this may include contacting you by post and/or telephone and/or email. If you do not wish us to provide you with such updates and general information please contact us as set out below.

In connection with the operation and use of this site from time to time we may provide your information to Shell affiliate offices and companies.

As part of the services offered to you through our site, the information you provide to us may be transferred to countries outside of the European Economic Area (EEA). By way of example, this may happen if any of our servers are from time to time located in a country outside of the EEA or one of our service providers is located in a country outside of the EEA.
